How much weight can the roof top tent hold?

Hard-shell roof top tents (e.g., SkyLodge Alpha): Max load 660 lbs (fits 2–3 adults).
Inflated roof top tents (e.g., SkyAir Quick): Max load 440 lbs (fits 2 adults or a small family). 
Do not exceed weight limits for safety.

Is it safe to sleep in a roof top tent while driving?

No! For safety, fold and secure the roof top tent completely before driving. 
Never sleep in the tent or leave it unfolded during driving—it will cause wind resistance, damage the tent or lead to accidents.

How long does it take to inflate the inflated roof top tent?

The SkyAir Quick inflated roof top tent inflates fully in 3–5 minutes with the included electric air pump. The pump is portable and can be powered by a car cigarette lighter or portable power bank.

What if the inflated tent leaks air during use?

All inflated tents come with a repair kit (glue + patch). For small leaks: clean the damaged area, apply glue and stick the patch. For large leaks or quality issues, contact customer support immediately for replacement or refund.

General Questions

Why there is water inside when camping in cold weather or after rain? Is it leaking?

Condensation can form inside the tent when both the outside and inside temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius. 
This commonly occurs during cold or rainy weather. 
Since the rainwater temperature is lower than the air inside the tent, condensation is likely to occur.

What types of vehicles are SkyGii tents compatible with?

Pickup canopy tents: fit most full-size and mid-size pickup trucks (e.g., Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Silverado). If your pickup model is not in our list, don't worry, we can customize for 1pc only.

Roof top tents: work with any vehicle with sturdy cross bars (load capacity ≥ 160 lbs), if you don't have cross bars, just buy one pair. You can also let us know your vehicle model number to see if we have the one for you or not.

Car side awnings: fit all SUVs, pickup trucks and vans with roof rails or awning mounting brackets. 

Do I need professional tools to install the tent?

No! All SkyGii products feature tool-free installation. 
Most pickup canopy tents take 15–20 minutes to set up alone, but you need to lift it to the truck bed firstly.
roof top tents take 25–30 minutes usually.

Is assembly required for the tent?

Minimal assembly is needed. The main frame comes pre-assembled—you only need to attach small parts (mounting brackets, poles). No special skills are required.

Can I use SkyGii tents in all weather conditions?

Yes. Our tents are made of heavy-duty Oxford fabric with PU 3000mm waterproof coating and UV-resistant treatment. They withstand light to moderate rain, wind (≤ 35 mph) and sunny days. For extreme weather (heavy storms, snowstorms), store the tent indoors or use a protective cover.

How do I clean and maintain my tent?

1.Clean fabric with mild soap and cold water, then air dry completely before storage (do not machine wash/bleach).
2. Wipe metal parts with a dry cloth to prevent rust.
3. Store in a cool, dry place—avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight or humidity.
4. If you mount it on the car, but not use, check it after rain, there might be condensation inside.

How long does shipping take?

Now, they will be sent out from factory directly by sea and local delivery to your door. And because of its large size, it has to be delivered by truck. So, it takes more time than small parcels. Please wait more patient. 

To USA: 30-40 days usually 
To Australia: 30-40 days usually (west of Australia will take more time)
To Europe: 50-60 days usually

Do I have to pay customs duties or taxes?

For USA, EU Europe and Australia orders: shipping cost include all taxes and duties—no additional fees on delivery. For other countries, check with us please.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day free return policy. Return unused items in original packaging for a full refund or exchange. We cover return shipping for quality issues; customers pay return shipping for non-quality returns.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! All SkyGii products come with a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. Contact us for free repair or replacement within the warranty period.

Can I get a replacement part if my tent is damaged?

Yes. We provide replacement parts (poles, zippers, mounting brackets) for all products. Contact support with your order number and a photo of the damaged part—we send free replacements within the warranty period, or low-cost parts out of warranty.
